In line with creating a vibrant university environment, encouraging students to engage in sports, fostering a spirit of empathy and cooperation, and promoting health and well-being among students and academic staff, the Futsal Tournament of Khatam -Al-Nabieen University (PBUH), Ghazni Branch, commenced on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Alokozay Sports Hall.
The opening ceremony of this tournament, attended by the Honorable Academic Vice Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, university professors and staff, students, and participating teams, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Alireza Mahdavi, a student of the university, and was hosted by Hossein Dad Hasani. The program continued with remarks by Mr. Eshaq Ali Fahemi, faculty member and Dean of the Faculty of Economics.
At the beginning of his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics welcomed the presence of the vice chancellors, professors, staff, students, and especially the participating teams, and expressed appreciation for the efforts of Dr. Bismillah Mahdavi, Head of the Department of Culture, Invitation, and Islamic Guidance, and his colleagues. He added that group sports—especially futsal tournaments—are valuable opportunities that foster a sense of cooperation, interaction, empathy, teamwork, healthy spirit, discipline, and effort, all of which play a vital role in individual and social life.
