1. Establish coordination with subordinate units
2. Leading research affairs in line with the university’s major and strategic goals.
3. Developing and proposing the required regulations to the relevant authorities and monitoring their proper implementation;
4. Prioritizing university research topics and activities
5. Providing study and research opportunities for professors and students.
6. Participation in preparing research topics for students’ monographs in collaboration with faculties.
7. Preparing the annual report of the research committee for presentation to the scientific council
8. Efforts to facilitate the participation of faculty members and students in national and international scientific festivals;
9. Necessary measures to register patents and scientific works at the university and protect them;
10. Cooperation with other departments for the proper implementation of research programs.
11. Sending all approved regulations and bylaws related to research from the Scientific Vice-Chancellor to the relevant units and follow up and monitor their proper implementation
12. Preparing the groundwork for concluding memorandums of understanding with research centers and digital libraries inside and outside the country.
