On Monday, September 8, 2025, in order to review the feedback and opinions of students regarding the performance of the university, an Open Tribune Program was organized by the University Students’ Committee and the Career Counseling Center in the Aburaihan Hall.
The program began with the hosting of Mr. Mohammad Zia Gholami, Director of Humanities Teaching, and the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Peyman Ahmadi, a student of the Faculty of Medicine. It continued with opening remarks by Professor Azimi, a faculty member of the Law Department and Head of the Career Counseling Center.
In his introductory speech, Professor Azimi stated that the main purpose of the Open Tribune Program was to provide a transparent space for students to express their opinions, suggestions, and criticisms, while emphasizing the importance of direct dialogue between students and university officials. He also pointed out that a university is not only a place for academic studies but also an environment for intellectual growth, practicing responsibility, and strengthening the spirit of criticism and dialogue. He added that holding such meetings, in which different ideas and perspectives are expressed in a healthy atmosphere with mutual respect, is a sign of the growth and dynamism of an academic institution.
After Professor Azimi’s remarks, the core part of the program began, with the university leadership team present, consisting of:
- The Honorable President of the University, Professor Dr. Habibi
- The Honorable Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Karimi
- The Honorable Vice President for Student Affairs, Professor Mohammad Reza Marefat
- The Honorable Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Karimi
They attended the stage and responded to the questions, opinions, and criticisms raised by the students. These questions, which were presented in a completely open environment without any restrictions, covered academic, administrative, facilities-related, and behavioral issues.
While responding to the questions and criticisms, the university leadership expressed appreciation for the students’ spirit of inquiry and further emphasized that all the raised issues would be seriously reviewed in the University Leadership Council, and effective measures would be taken to address them.
