In order to glorify as magnificently
as possible, the lasting and informative epic of Ashura, a scientific-cultural
meeting was held under the title of “Ashura opportunities and
capacities”, on Sunday 24th of Cancer 1403, in the Aburihan meeting hall
of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni branch.
This meeting, in which professors,
students and employees of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University of Ghazni branch, a
number of professors of Ghazni University, scholars, students and other people
interested in scientific topics participated, started with the performance of
Mr. Abdullah Elham and the recitation of the Holy Quran by Sayed Islam Fakuri.
And it continued with Dr. Mohammad Javad Sammi’s speech on “Ashura and the
Revival of Religion”. In these talks, Dr. Sammi, referring to the numerous
statements of Imam Hussain, described the Ashura movement as a religious reform
and revivalist movement against the growing political, religious, cultural,
social and economic corruptions, which is rooted in the society and destroys
all religious values. He had challenged and risked. Then Professor Sibghatullah
Ebrahimi talked about the professors of Ghazni University and discussed the
virtues of Imam Hussain by referring to the traditions of the Messenger of God
and his relative status, as well as the goals of the Ashura uprising, ensuring
security, enforcing divine limits, enjoining what is good and forbidding what
is evil. And he considered the revival of the tradition of his grandfather, the
Messenger of God, as one of the important goals of the Hussaini uprising, and
demanded the revival of the Hussaini way and method in the society.
The third speaker of this scientific and
cultural meeting was Hojjat al-Islam, Ustad Asghari, the head of Tawheed
Seminary. He, who talked about “Ashura, the axis of Islamic brotherhood
and convergence”, at the beginning of his speech, he praised and thanked
Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni branch, for paying attention to important
and valuable Islamic and national occasions, and continued to mention the past
honors and shortcomings of Islamic civilization. He mentioned division and
hypocrisy as an important factor and the root of many challenges, problems and
misfortunes of Islamic societies and considered Islamic unity and convergence
as a necessity to overcome crises and challenges. In the other part of the
conversation, Professor Asghari stated that there are many cases and
commonalities for convergence and Islamic brotherhood, of which Imam Hussein
and the reformist movement of Ashura can be one of the most important cases. In
his opinion, the relative position of Imam Hussain (A.S.), his position in the Ahadiths
of the Messenger of God, and the goals of the Ashura uprising are agreed upon
and respected by all Islamic currents, and from this point of view, it can be
used as an axis for unity, empathy and convergence in the Islamic world raised.
