Due to the necessity of practical work in some subjects of Law, the Law Department of Khatam-ul-Nabiin University, has started a program to train the students of this field the subject of “forensic medicine”, practically. This program was held on 30 June 20200, in collaboration with Ghazni civil Hospital to review files and documents related to forensic medicine, examining the human body from the perspective of forensic medicine and the process of judicial documents between courts and hospitals at main branch of of Ghazni Civil Hospital. The practical workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Ajab Khan Hamidi, who is also professor of Forensic Medicine at Khatam-ul-Nabiyin University and is the head of Ghazni civil hospital too. In this educational program, Professor Mohammad Reza Marafet, head of the Law Department of University, who accompanied the students, said:
“Today, the classical demarcation between human sciences and natural sciences cannot be firmly defended; Different branches of science requires and somehow depends on each other’s propositions. Law uses natural and experimental sciences in different aspects and practical work of forensic medicine is its one of the clear examples. Law students are obligated to learn the theoretical and practical lessons of forensic medicine. Familiarizing law students with the process of judicial documents in hospitals and health centers will be effective in providing justice and establishing discipline in our society and country”.
In this educational program, an Agreement was signed between the faculty of law and political science of the University and Ghazni civil hospital, as the law students of the university can hold their practical classes in the hospital permanently. This proposal was welcomed by the head of Ghazni civil hospital Dr. Hamidi.
Law students were satisfied of participating in this scientific-educational program and requested the Law Department to take over such practical program permanently.
