On Wednesday, 22/5/2024, with the efforts of the Faculty of Economics of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni Branch and the cooperation of the Afghanistan Institute of Legal and Economic Studies AELSO, a scientific seminar on “Entrepreneurship, Development, Welfare and Poverty Reduction” was held in Abu Raihan Conference Hall of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni Branch.

This seminar, which purpose was to increase the level of awareness and develop creativity and entrepreneurship among students, was attended by the honorable president of the university, Mr. Dr. Habibi, the honorable president of Ghazni University, Mr. Maulvi Abdul Wasi Mansour and his delegation, the head of Ghazni province’s economy, Mr. Maulvi Nader Shah, and his delegation. Maulvi Naqibullah, Director of the Invitation and Guidance of Ghazni Province, the respected Vice-Chancellors of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni Branch, heads of faculties, respected professors of this university, and a large number of students of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni Branch, as well as applicants from outside the university, and it was opened with a soulful recitation from the Word of God was started by Ayat Khan Ehsanipour.

Then the honorable president of Khatam-Al-Nabieen University, Ghazni branch, Mr. Dr. Habibi, gave a speech and, while welcoming the guests present in the hall, thanked the leadership of AELSO Institute and Faculty of Economics for holding this scientific and practical seminar, in three areas (education, research and entrepreneurship) and He spoke and emphasized on the issue of entrepreneurship.

The next speaker of this meeting was Mr. Hanif Farzan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AELSO Institute, who spoke about the importance of entrepreneurship from an individual, socio-cultural and economic perspective and introduced entrepreneurship as a means of poverty reduction, economic development and prosperity. He mentioned the entrepreneurship camp as the best opportunity for practicing entrepreneurship in Afghanistan and asked the young people to turn their economic ideas into action by participating in the entrepreneurship camp and participate in this competitive program that is organized in three sections among universities, youth and technical and professional sections will be held.

The other speaker of this seminar was Dr. Mohammad Ishaq Mahdavi, a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Economics and the head of the Professional Development Center of Khatam Al-Nabieen University (PBUH). Dr. Mahdavi talked about “effective solutions for economic development, prosperity and poverty reduction in Afghanistan” and stated that economic poverty is affected by scientific poverty and linked underdevelopment with economic poverty and Afghanistan is prosperous, stable, independent and self-sufficient. He considered it to be dependent on “expert and committed human force”, “science and knowledge” and “technology”.

Maulvi Abdul Wasi Mansour, the president of Ghazni Governmental University, sat as the next speaker, he discussed the importance of education for young people and its role in the development of the country, and the role of education in creating an informed and cultured society and the place of education in improving the skills of young people and preparing them to enter to the job market.

The fifth speaker of this meeting was Maulvi Nader Shah Sharif of Ghazni province’s economy department. He spoke about the activities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the field of entrepreneurship and its role in development, reducing poverty and prosperity, and in these talks, he emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in creating employment and economic prosperity, the measures taken by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to support entrepreneurs. , the future plans of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for the development of entrepreneurship in the country, pointed out the role of universities in training and empowering entrepreneurs.

The recent speaker of this meeting was Mr. Abdul Qadir Beheshti, head of programs of AELSO Institute. He spoke in detail about entrepreneurship and its requirements, practical measures for entrepreneurship that will be held at Khatam-Al-Nabieen University in Kabul in the next month, and how students can participate in the entrepreneurship camp.
